    UNIT 1: A visit from a pen pal
    Lesson 1: Getting Started – Listen and Read.
    Aims:
    Teacher helps students to:
    Reading the text to understand the details.
    Presentation and practice in “wish” to talk about unreal present desires.
    Objectives:
    By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
    - Know the name of the pictures in the before you read.
    - Read fluently the text and do exercises below the text.
    - Retell the trip of Lan’s Malaysian pen pal, Razali Maryam.

     Warm up:

    Free talk:
    T sets the scene : A foreign pen pal is coming to stay with you for a week. Where will you take him/ her to visit?
    T gives Ss a cue by asking them look at the pictures.
    T asks: What activities would you do during the visit?
    
    Students think and talk:
    I’ll take him/ her to visit HCM Mausoleum, West lake, Litterature Temple …

    + Visiting the Literature temple.
    + Shopping in Dong Xuan Market.
